&lt;P&gt;Can I ask that you start your own threads so that your issue can receive the visibility it deserves. I realize it's similar to the thread starter, but you have a different model printer, and could be using a different SMTP Mail provider.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It's also not possible for you to mark a thread as solved unless it's your own.&amp;nbsp; This is also helpful for other searching for solutions.&amp;nbsp; When you start your thread, please list the model of your Canon device and the mail service you are using&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;One of us will absolutely respond and try to assist you.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>ImageCLASS MF644Cdw Scan to Email 806</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So, this has been going on for since about September of 2024. I bought land and wanted to scan all my documents for it and printer wouldn't send the files to gmail. At the time I changed no settings. I have since periodically try fixing this. I followed the manual, watched many and may videos on youtube, browsed reddit and quora and many others including here. Every "solution" hasnt worked. So I will list out what I've tried&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Update firmware&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;reset network and printer (even tho i could still print)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;checked emails in address book&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;made a google app password and tried with and without spaces&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;unchecked and checked TLS for SMTP&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;checked SMTP server (smtp.google.com) and (smtp-relay.google.com)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;tried 20,465, and 587 for SMTP port numbers&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;and others i cant think off (except throwing it at a wall, jk i wont......yet)&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please can someone help. I have like 10 people I do taxes for and really need to scan!!!!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;An 806 error usually indicates a problem with the destination email address.&amp;nbsp; Either the way it's entered in the address book, or the way it's being typed into the LCD panel.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You do need to supply mail server settings so the printer knows what to do in order to send mail.&amp;nbsp; I have 2 Canon laser printers configured to use Gmail for SMTP.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There's no need to upgrade firmware. It has no bearing on the ability to send email.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;To use Gmail.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;SMTP Server:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;smtp.google.com&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Username. Full Gmail address&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Password.&amp;nbsp; Enter the app password you created without spaces.&amp;nbsp; 16 characters.&amp;nbsp; (Try typing it in). No copy/paste.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;TLS check box enabled.&amp;nbsp; Ensure this is under the heading for SMTP TX, not POP&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Port: I used 587.&amp;nbsp; Once again..&amp;nbsp; Make sure you're setting the port for SMTP TX:&amp;nbsp; not POP.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There is a test button on the upper right hand corner where you can test the configuration. This will tell you if the printer can connect to your mail server (Google account) correctly.&amp;nbsp; You must be logged into the remote UI from a PC.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;For My Address Book I just entered the addresses under Favorites.&amp;nbsp; They appear on the printer's LCD, or I can enter a recipient's address manually if I don't have an entry.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;806 typically indicates a problem with your recipient's email address, but I'd look the whole thing over just to be on the safe side.&amp;nbsp; Sounds like you're really close.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for getting back to me. So i went through line by line and found that for mail server i had put in smtp.gmail.com. So i changed that to google double checked everything else and tried again. Now i get an 801 error&lt;/P&gt;</description>
