topic Can't scan from console to computer from imageCLASS MF751Cdw in Office Printers

Brand new MF751. Problem is that It does not reliably scan to my computers from the pronter console. I've installed the latest drivers and MF Scan utility app. I have successfully added the scanner to the app using both Bonjour and IP address. Both approaches work. I can scan just fine from the app, but when I try to scan from the printer using the console scan button, it just spins and eventually tells me there's an error, with no other information. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the driver and app with no improvement. If I remove and re-add the scanner in the network scanner settings, I can usually get it to work for a few minutes, but eventually it stops. This happens with 3 different systems; a MAcbook Pro / M3 latest Sequoia, and 2 Windows 11 machines. All Canon software is latest from the website. Ideas anyone? This is driving me nuts...
