I have Canon i-SYNSIS MF620C (n/s: TWF2[xxxx]).

Recently, I encountered a problem with our office printer. When printing from PCs on the network (the printer is wire-connected) on the side of the PC, the job goes through with no problem, but then the job "hangs" on the printer while it's "waiting" (I have no clue for what) for various amounts of time, like 10-30 minutes and then it prints the job if it's printed at all. I discussed the issue with a service technician. He recommended configuring the TCP/IP port with the printer's IP address instead of what gets installed automatically when installing the printer driver through the installation wizard.
I'm not sure what firmware version is the printer running, but could this issue be solved with a firmware update?

[Serial number partially hidden to protect privacy.]
