MAXIFY GX4020 How to bypass or eliminate fax option

I have a GX4020 printer and GX4000 Series FAX shows up as the default; to actually print, I have to instead choose GX4000 Series. Is there a way to eliminate the FAX option, as I don't use it? Or is there a way to make the non-FAX option the default?

Hi proshill,

Please follow the appropriate steps below to set the default printer:

For Windows, please follow these steps:

1. On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter I, then let both go.

2. Click on "Bluetooth & devices" on the left side.

3. On the right side, click on "Printers & scanners".

4. Click on the Canon GX4000 series. In the new window, click "Set As Default" at the top.

For Mac, please follow these steps:

1. Click on the Apple in the upper left corner.

2. Click System Settings.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the left side and click on Printers & Scanners.

4. Choose the GX4000 series from the "Default printer" drop down list.
