I just got the printer today and it is very loud. My other canon printer you could barely hear it print. Is this normal for this printer?

Hi,

I own two Canon lasers, including the 656. What about your printer is noisy? Printing, scanning. Maybe you could move the printer further away from where you sit if you feel the printers operation is loud. Both of mine are pretty quiet thankfully.

There is a problem with the printer, my other printer was quiet. I am getting a replacement

You don't say what your "other Canon printer" is, so your comparison is useless to us. The MF imageClass series are office printers, and they make office-level noise.

It has a loud humming noise when, it starts, prints or copies. I have tried reseating the toner carts. I have checked the paper type to make sure it is correct, setting the color correction to when it starts up.
