Hello,

Usually, the ink will slide to the changing position when the ink level is detected as low or empty. If the tanks are not moving over when you open the front and the level is low, there might be something wrong with the hardware or one of the ink tanks. In this situation, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. They can check the current level and the ink tanks to see what might be causing your print quality and ink level indication issues.

Every time my Cannon ink cartridges get "low ink" it prints very poorly, most times you can't even see the color of the ink, in this case the cyan. I'm in the middle of a job and I have no idea how to get the ink to be correct in color. I am using Cannon ink, no other brands. I cleaned the ink heads and still nothing better. If I had known you could not change the ink cartridge when it was low and not good performance, I would've never purchased this. Unsatisfactory!
