Hello,

A filter error will usually come up when there is a problem with processing the print job. You can try reinstalling the drivers from our site for your specific version of the Mac OS. If reinstalling the drivers did not resolve the issue, you can try printing from another program or a different document to see if you get the same error message.

If you continue to have problems, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. They can check what is causing the filter error message.

Good morning. A strange situation has occurred, and I need some advice. I was printing yesterday, and after several successful jobs, my Canon LDP 6230dw quit printing on my MacBook Pro. I tried the recommended approaches; uploaded newest software, uninstalled/re-installed drivers, rebooted both the Mac and Canon, all to no help. I am thinking that it may be my toner, which is original, and not used all that much. Does anyone know if this could cause the "filter failed" issue? Thanks!
