    <description>&lt;P&gt;Firmware update stopped abruptly and now can't get printer out of "download mode". Connected to computer via USB, downloaded new firmware and software and it says firmware does not need updating (although it doesn't appear the latest firmware is on-line for downloading) and connected with ethernet to internet. Nothing will get it out of download mode.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;From what you are describing, it looks like there is a problem with the hardware. There is a chance that the failed firmware update is preventing other updates.
