imageCLASS D570: Gray Market Serial Number Question

I just bought a D570 AIO Printer Scanner Copier from Amazon.com.

I would like to register it. It looks as if the serial number is F17XXXX. I just tried to register it at the Canon website and I received a message stating this product is not for sale in U.S.
