055H Toner Availability.

I've noticed that the black 055H toner cartridge has been in "backordered" status for quite a while. More recently the 055H Cyan cartridge went backordered as well.

I called Canon Support to inquire if there is any known date when both black & cyan will be available again, but the agent did not know.

Thought I might try opening a topic here in the forums to see if someone has access to a crystal ball. 😉 🙂

Not sure where you were located but Office Depot, Costco and Best Buy alll have the 055/h in stock.

I'm in the Boston area, so the local retail choices are Best Buy and Staples. (I'm not a Costco member). Office Depot/Max exited Massachusetts years ago.

The main reason I order toner from Canon is price. They tend to be lower than the other options. Canon's price for high capacity black toner is $157. Best Buy is $169.

If things get dicey, I'll spring for a set of standard cartridges. Canon has them in stock. 🙂
