imageCLASS MF642Cdw: Orange triangle error message (Load Paper in Tray 1, but there is paper)

When I print from our laptop I get an error message (little orange triangle lights up) then I push it once and it prints fine. What am I doing wrong?

it is flashing and says load paper in ltrplain 1 but I open the tray and it is full of paper and not jammed

We do not want to use ltr plain 1 we want to use the big tray at the bottom of the printer

Hello,

If you get a message on the printer and you have to confirm the paper size and type to start the printing, it usually means the incorrect printer driver is being used. You can try reinstalling the current version of the Windows driver from our site using the link HERE. It will be at the top of the list and will have Recommended written above it.

If reinstalling the drivers did not resolve the issue, you can also check the paper settings for the tray you have the paper loaded into. Make sure it matches the paper size and type that you are selecting in the print window on the computer.
