      <description>&lt;P&gt;I own an MF743CDW. It looks like there is a switch that is used to signal when the door is open or closed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't know if the 1620 is similar or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A call to Canon Customer Support might yield some answers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
