@MBCsMOM,

For more specific help, please supply the actual model of your device as Danny requested.

Here's some things for you to think about.

The printer will connect to a 2.4Ghz wireless broadcast using WPA2 / AES encryption. Please ensure your network meets these requirements.

It might be helpful to assign the printer a static or reserved IP address on your router.

Visit the printers support portal and download the latest driver available for MAC OS Ventura

Remove the failed printer instance from your MAC, and reinstall it as an IP printer once assigned.

Once you know its IP address (proceed)

The image below is only an example, use it as a guide,

On your MAC, Navigate to the Apple menu > System Preference > Printers and Scanners

Select the offline printer, remove it using the (-) minus option.

Now select (+) to add. Don't use Bonjour, or Airprint... Select the IP icon above. Enter the printers IP in address. In the second "Name" field below, change the name to something meaningful to you. "MF260_Series" or similar. There is another drop down below "USE", this where you can select the driver. Since you have already installed the Canon software, the driver will be one of the selectable options in the dropdown list... Press next to add. It should add and appear with a green ready dot.

I am using MacOS Ventura 13.6.3 with the fire wall OFF already. When I first got the printer it worked wirelessly, but now it is always showing offiline. I have already tried power cycling both the printer and wireless router and nothing helps.

Thanks for joining the conversation, MBCsMom!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the imageCLASS MF260 series. The model number should appear on the front of the unit at the lower right.

It would also help us to know whether your printer communicates with your computer via a USB cable, via Wi-Fi, or via an Ethernet cable. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
