ImageCLASS MF743CDW started printing everything in magenta.

Our office printer is a Canon imageclass mf743cdw and just started printing everything in magenta. The other toner cartridges are full as they were just replaced. What could be causing this?

Do you mean prints appear with a magenta cast, or magenta is the only color being printed on the page?

Do all files print this way? One file or when printing from a particular application? Can you provide an example for us please.

Hi,

Wow. 😲 Are you using 3rd party toners or OEM Canon toners. That would be the first place to start. If you are using Canon toners, the machine looks like it will need service.

Hello,

The image looks like the magenta toner is leaking or has spilled inside of the printer. You can try removing all of the toner cartridges and checking the inside of the printer for any loose toner powder that can be wiped up with a damp cloth. After that, you can try cleaning the fixing assembly and ITB.

If that does not resolve the issue, you can try replacing the magenta toner. If it continues after replacing the toner, it looks like the printer needs service.
