      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you have the MF Scan Utility and Scan Gear software installed on the laptop?&amp;nbsp; Easiest way is to open the scanning software and initiate a remote scan.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-6512-zz-SSM-450-enUS/contents/devu-scan.html" target="_blank"&gt;https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-6512-zz-SSM-450-enUS/contents/devu-scan.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are trying to Scan to a shared folder, you will need to create destination on the computer.&amp;nbsp; I usually use the Documents folder.&amp;nbsp; Assign the correct permissions to the folder, then save the destination in the printers address book.&amp;nbsp; Note that the MF / ScanGear applications cannot be open when you scan to a shared folder.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-6512-zz-SSM-450-enUS/contents/devu-scan-basicope-pc_save.html#0604_h1_01" target="_blank"&gt;https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-6512-zz-SSM-450-enUS/contents/devu-scan-basicope-pc_save.html#0604_h1_01&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
