&lt;P&gt;That error would point to a communication issue or the incorrect scanner option is selected at the top of the scan utility. You can check the top of the scan utility to see if the software has the MF740 series or if it is set to MF740 series (network). If you are connecting via USB, you can check if the cable connection is secure and the scanner is connected directly and is not in a USB hub or extension. If you continue to run into issues, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to help check what is going on with the connection or software.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I keep getting an error code: 600104 from the Canon imageClass MF743Cdw printer/scanner. I'm able to print but not scan. My other co-workers computers are able to print and scan. All computers are Mac. I'm running Mac Monterey 12.2.1 ; I have downloaded and reinstalled the printer drivers of the top 3 drivers listed on Cannon's website. What else can I try?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Error code: 600104&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Cannot communicate with the scanner.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;The cable may be disconnected, or the scanner may be turned off.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Check the scanner status and try again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Scanner driver will be terminated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
