imageCLASS MF753Cdw won't print unless I push the "Print" button on the printer

I just purchased the MF753cdw, set up was easy however when printing I had trouble with the paper feeding from the main tray. After reading through this forum, I was able to direct the printing, thank you. Now I am having trouble with just printing. I have to manually push the print button on the printer to print. So the printer is not printing automatically after sending a document to the printer. I am sure there is a way to change this, I hope, can someone help?

More information is needed:

What computer and operating system are you using?

How is the printer connected? Via a cable? Or wireless?

What software are you using to print (e.g. Pages, Word)?

Hello,

If you get a message on the printer and you have to confirm or press print on the display to start the printing, it usually means the incorrect printer driver is being used. You can try reinstalling the current version of the Windows driver from our site using the link HERE. It will be at the top of the list and will have Recommended written above it.

If reinstalling the drivers did not resolve the issue, you can also check the paper settings for the tray you have the paper loaded into. Make sure it matches the paper size and type that you are selecting in the print window on the computer.

If you continue to have issues, I suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist.

We saw this issue setting up the same model printer this week. We had the right drivers (downloaded from Canon), the paper settings at the printer were incorrect. For the multipurpose tray (aka manual feed) we set to "specify when loading paper" and for Drawer 1 we had to change it from letter (government) 2 to Letter Plain 2. That worked! Excellent tech support when calling Canon - really knowledgeable and kind techs.
