Hello Mingpan,

It looks like the printer needs to be cleaned or there is a problem with the black toner/hardware. In this situation, you can try cleaning the ITB and fixing assembly to see if that resolves the issue. If not, you can try reseating the toner cartridges and checking if any are leaking/damaged. You can also try another black toner cartridge to see if it resolves the issue.

Hello Hector,

I am having the issue above. The smudge looks exactly the same in terms of location and frequency on the page. It always contains a portion of the underlying image and may be in black or in color depending on the image. I have tried all the suggested fixes, and used all the service cleaning options on the printer. I have exchanged toner cartridges and checked for toner leaks. No issues found. It's almost like something is sticky on a paper contact part that is picking up toner from the image before it's fixed. Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
