    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, I have a ImageClass MF8280Cw that started returning a blank sheet of paper when selecting Copy and blank data on Scan, local or via connected PC. The reader bar still goes through the motion as it is at least attempting to perform a scan but the reader lamp does seem to be not as bright as it used to be.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I haven't found any troubleshooting information for this type failure or any suggestion of what needs to be replaced, the reader bar and lamp, the controller board, the ribbon cable that connects the reader, etc. Well, I should say other than reloading drivers, etc.Everything else on the printer still functions just as it should, directly and/or via computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help will be greatly appreciated,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Rick&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;From what you are describing, it does look like the scanner needs service or replacement parts. In this situation, I would suggest contacting service over the phone at 1-800-652-2666 or logging into your MyCanon account to check your service options.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
