What exactly is the paper you are using? is it a laser-compatible paper? Is it heavier than what Canon says is compatible? Is it the paper surface that is cracking I'd suspect the paper is no good for a laser printer. If the TONER (not INK) is cracking it could be because the toner is not fusing to the paper surface because of being to heavy or not a good surface for laser printing.

I have a new LBP632CDW laser printer and the ink is cracking when I fold a page and rubbing off onto my fingers. I have set the paper to heavy weight as I read to do in some posts online, but that did not help me. Ideas?
