    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a problem with a printer in our office regarding Scan to email option.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have setup Email options in UI:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mail server, Email adress, SMTP authentication with username and password and use TLS for SMTP, other options are unchecked.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Port for SMTP in TCP/IP setting is 587&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I used the same parameters in other services for mail sending and it works just fine so its not problem with mail server. Also the Mail Server is ours.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The printer is connected using Lan Cable and in our domain, I tried pinging 8.8.8.8 from printer and it works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also tried unchecking use TLS option and then it gives error #806&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I also run a firmware update for our printer but its not helping.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there anything else that Im missing?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A windows configuration tool is available for Send To Email Configuration.&amp;nbsp; I've found it to be useful in these situations:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="shadowsports_0-1693415482553.png" style="width: 400px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/44658iA8DC2DA4C5CDFD40/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="shadowsports_0-1693415482553.png" alt="shadowsports_0-1693415482553.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are 2 FW updates available.&amp;nbsp; One is a Main Controller Firmware update for the MF411dw.&amp;nbsp; v6.0.1.&amp;nbsp; I you're not running this version, I might update the device. Its from 2017.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer/products/printers/i-sensys/mf-series/i-sensys-mf411dw.html?type=firmware&amp;amp;detailId=tcm:13-1548259&amp;amp;productTcmUri=tcm:13-1389813" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;i-SENSYS MF411dw - Support - Download drivers, software and manuals - Canon Europe (canon-europe.com)&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is a second FW update that addresses a buffer overflow vulnerability.&amp;nbsp; I would not be as concerned with this one as much as the above.&amp;nbsp; Its v09.03.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;(2022)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
