    <description>&lt;P&gt;I just purchased an MF264dwII. There is a smudge mark on all copies and scans. Even when printing with nothing in the feeder or glass as well as scanning with nothing in the feeder or glass.&amp;nbsp; I have tried shaking the cartridge although it doesn't make sense because it cannot be the cartridge when printing or scanning without a document.&amp;nbsp; Thank you in advance for any assistance.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully, it's not the drum.&amp;nbsp; The machine is a day old.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you are getting smudges in the print, you can try cleaning the&amp;nbsp; the &lt;A href="https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-3281-zz-SS-enUS/contents/SS260_maintenance_0293.html#1006_h1_01" target="_self"&gt;fixing assembly&lt;/A&gt; to see if it removes the smudges. You can also try reseating the &lt;A href="https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-3281-zz-SS-enUS/contents/SS260_maintenance_0297.html#1009_h1_01" target="_self"&gt;toner&lt;/A&gt; and &lt;A href="https://oip.manual.canon/USRMA-3281-zz-SS-enUS/contents/SS260_maintenance_0298.html#1037_h1_01" target="_self"&gt;drum&lt;/A&gt; cartridges to see if the smudges clear.
