Greetings,

A few questions.

Windows 10 OS. Do you have a 3rd party AV application installed?

What is the brand and model of the wireless router?

How did you create or assign the static / reserved IP?

Does the router show the printer in its list of attached devices, and using the IP address you assigned?

Can you ping this IP address from a command prompt?

Example mine is 192.168.1.99

C:\Users\itadmin>ping 192.168.1.99

Pinging 192.168.1.99 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.99: bytes=32 time=12ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.1.99: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.1.99: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=255
Reply from 192.168.1.99: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=255

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.99:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 3ms, Maximum = 12ms, Average = 5ms

I'll wait for your reply.

I've been trying to wirelessly setup my Canon ImageCLASS MF632 with my computer on Windows 10, but have run into some issues. My printer is connected to WiFi (same network as my computer), and I have downloaded the drivers.

To add my printer to my computer, I used the printer's IP address, as my computer wasn't discovering it. However, my printer is still listed as "offline," and the "use printer offline" option is turned off.

In addition, my computer's troubleshooter returns these responses:

"Printer cannot be contacted over the network," and

"Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource is not responding."

These are the troubleshooting measures I've taken that haven't worked:

Creating a static IP address instead of dynamic, but the connection times out when I enter the printer's IP address into the search engine.

Making sure the following services are running automatically instead of manually: remote access auto connection manager, remote access connection manager, secure socket tunneling protocol service, and routing and remote access.

Removing and adding the printer again.

Re-starting my computer.

Re-starting the print spooler.

Flushing the DNS cache.

I'm at a loss, and can't call Canon support as the ImageCLASS MF632 is no longer supported by their agents.

Any help would be wonderful! Thanks in advance.
