MB2720 Smudged Barcode

I have an MB2720. I am trying to print a return label with barcodes on it. Everything prints fine except for the barcodes, which are smudged and streaky. I've adjusted all the settings I can find, cleaned everything multiple times and even replaced the black print cartridge with no improvement.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

The issue could be caused by the print settings used or the hardware. If the bar codes are blurry or smudged, you can try cleaning the printers encoder strip or turning on the option to prevent paper abrasion. If that does not resolve the issue, you can try switching the paper type from plain paper to another paper type to see if the print quality improves.
