MF6180dw Scan File not in folder

I have a MF6180dw set up on a small office network. I have the Canon MF Toolbox 4.9 loaded onto my ASUS laptop with Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system , x64-based processor.

In the past, until recently, I have been able to put a document into the top tray, use the on-board buttons on the printer to scan both color and black-white PDF's to my laptop.

When i do this type of scan, the Canon MF toolbox does appear as it did before but, when the dated folder opens on the laptop where the icon and PDF file should be, the PDF file is not there.

I have tried a remote scan and i get the same problem.

I have checked the properties of the newly Canon created dated folder and the size is 0 bytes.

I can scan to other computers on the network witout problems.

I hate to keep asking my co-workers if i can scan to their computer and have them email me the file.

Your help is really appreciated.
