      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Waterman,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm sorry to hear about the E2 error code.&amp;nbsp; Note, if E2 or E002 has been displayed, it indicates an internal processing component requires attention. However, you can try resetting your copier as described below if you haven't done so already.&amp;nbsp; This can sometimes offer a simply solution:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note:&amp;nbsp; Disconnect your unit from the current power source for 10-30 minutes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Plug your copier into a different known working power outlet direct to the wall.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note:&amp;nbsp; Do not connect power cord to a surge, power or extension strip/cord.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; Determine if the copier reaches the stand-by mode to make a test copy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the error remains, or you are experiencing a different error code, please &lt;A href="http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/support" title="Canon USA Support Page" target="_self"&gt;contact us&lt;/A&gt; for further assistance.
