MB5420 Yellow triangle lit next to turned off touchscreen

Power lite will come on, touchscreen is off. Printer will only turn off by power cord.

Unplugged and reconnected both power and USB.

Power outage yesterday, before this problem started. Generator kicked on in 15 seconds.

Printer diagnosis program says supported printer can't be detected.

Can't find anything in manual about meaning of yellow triangle. Help please

Hello Baymare,

You can try unplugging the printer from the power and then pressing the power button 10 times while the printer is unplugged. After that, you can plug the printer into a different power source and you can try turning it on.

If that does not resolve the issue, it looks like the printer needs service. You can contact support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666 to check you service options or log into your MyCanon account.

Thank you for your answer. Apologies for taking so long to reply.

No combination of plug/unplug/power button helped.

Had to call support who decided it was fried, and would cost more to repair than replace. Thank you anyway.
