MAXIFY MB2720 Borderless Photos

Can anyone tell me why this printer is not printing borderless photos ? All I can print is pictures with a border on them.. I went into settings to try to change it to borderless but all is there is border.

No not as of yet. I think it's a software problem. But waiting to see if anyone from canon would reply.

Hello,

The MB2720 does have the option to print boderlessly. Some paper types and paper sizes will not have the option for borderless printing. To print borderlessly, you will need to have a photo paper type selected and you would need to select a paper size that supports boderless printing. You will only be able to print borderlessly on standard photo paper sizes that in the printer driver window. If you use custom paper sizes, you will not be able to print borderlessly.

What version of the Mac or Windows operating system are you using on your computer?
What paper type are you trying to print on?
What size is the paper that you are trying to print on?

Yes, Mr. Hoffman, and checked to see if I could see if there was borderless option and there was none there for that

This is what I seen when going to settings of the printer that I have.. I see not borderlessly option here as seen in screenshot #4.

I looked at the manual - I agree, I do not see any wording relating to borderless printing setup.

Thank you for looking at the screenshot's. I have an old canon mx-922, I remember seeing it in there. That's what caused me to say that it could be software problem. Thank for your input on this problem.

Hello,

I checked into the specific driver settings for the Maxify MB2720 and unfortunately I was mistaken on some of the driver properties. This specific model does not have the ability to perform borderless prints. When printing the MB2720 will apply a border. You can view the printable area information on our Canon Knowledge base.

Why not? My older printer had Borderless Printing with TINY cartridges for ink. I was thinking this was a step up. Nowhere on the packaging is there something eluding to the lack of Borderless printing. Can this be fixed?

Once upon a time, the Canon 2700 Series did print borderless photos (assuming you has the right paper type and size selected). I have many such prints to prove it. But sometime in the last few years, Canon removed this capability from the drivers for this printer type. Sad 😓
