I checked. The toner cartridges are available there. Is there an internal jumper which can be changed to switch voltages? As same printer series is being sold in India rated as 220 v.

I am relocating to India for some time. I want to take my MF451 printer to India. Is there a SMPS inside which will allow 220 volt operation? Is there a jumper inside which can be changed to the required voltage?

Hi asinghvi

We apologize for confusing your product. The imageCLASS MF451dw is a Canon USA product. Concerning your question, the imageCLASS MF451 does not support dual voltages. The imageCLASS MF451 power supports AC 120-127 V:5.9 A, 60 Hz.

The lack of dual voltage support is just the first issue you will experience. Retailers do not stock inks for your USA based product abroad. Unless you have someone who will send inks to you, its best to buy a printer sold for use in the country or region where you will reside. At the end of your visit or residency, you can donate the printer to school or church. This is the most cost effective solution in both the short and long term.

Hello Asinghvi,

Unfortunately, the printer does not have an internal jumper available that can be changed that would allow the printer to change voltages. The printer would only be able to work with AC 120-127 V:5.9 A, 60 Hz and we would not have any options to change the power requirements.

Did this answer your question?
