MF644CDW printing with a vertical black line

Please help.

Printer is printing with a vertical black line. 60% of toner is still there as per the consummable diagnostic.

Any user self maintenance will fix this?

Hello Gprasadhr,

If you are getting vertical lines in your prints, you can try cleaning the image transfer belt(ITB) or the fixing assembly. If either of those items are dirty, it can cause streaks/smudges in the prints. You can find the cleaning instructions for the printer using the link HERE. If Cleaning those two items did not resolve the issue, you can also try removing all of the toner cartridges and inspecting the inside of the printer for any loose toner powder that is inside of the unit. You can wipe up any toner power with a damp lint free cloth.

Do you know if you can replace the ITB with out replacing the whole assembly? In either case, do you know how to do it (remove and reinstall)? My ITB is shredded to pieces.
