How to get MB5360 printer to keep printing in black when colour is empty.

Hi,

I have a Maxify MB5360 printer. I'm out of coloured ink but want to keep using black. I can't even scan or do anthing with the coloured ink empty. I have tried to override this by holding cancel/stop button down for 7-10 secs for each empty cartridge. I'm getting the beep with each cartridge i hold it down for, but then when i close the compartment the change ink appears on screen stopping me from being able to use printer at all. Is there any other way to do this. This is so frustrating.
