All of a sudden, whenever I print, it goes to spooling, then printing, and then I get "error - printing" on the list. No code on the printer itself. Nothing happens. Here is what I have already done:

1. Tried both wireless and cable printing.

2. Rebooted the laptop and printer half a dozen times.

3. Checked and double-checked to make sure all firmware and drivers are up to date.

I don't think this is a mechanical issue, as the copy function works just fine. I can also scan to my computer using a cable so they are talking to each other. It just won't print!! Any ideas? Or is it time to (sigh) buy a new printer.
