    <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;must&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt; be logged in to he printer as "System Manager" in order to make port settings changes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately this series of printers has the port settings buried in a non-intuitive place.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Changing Port Numbers&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;1&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Select &amp;lt;Menu&amp;gt; in the Home screen.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;2&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Select &amp;lt;Preferences&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&amp;lt;Network&amp;gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;If the login screen appears, enter the correct ID and PIN.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;3&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Select &amp;lt;TCP/IP Settings&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;lt;Port Number Settings&amp;gt;.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;4&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Selecting the protocol of which you want to change the port number.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Learning more about the protocols&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;lt;LPD&amp;gt;/&amp;lt;RAW&amp;gt;/&amp;lt;WSD Multicast Discovery&amp;gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;lt;HTTP&amp;gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;lt;POP3&amp;gt;/&amp;lt;SMTP&amp;gt; (this one)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;lt;SNMP&amp;gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;lt;Multicast Discovery&amp;gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&amp;lt;FTP&amp;gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;5&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Enter the port number, and select &amp;lt;Apply&amp;gt;. &lt;STRONG&gt;(Hint, you will use port 587 or 465 for Gmail)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;6&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Restart the machine.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Turn OFF the machine, wait for at least 10 seconds, and turn it back ON.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;My notes:&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;Because Gmail has become more secure (a good thing), the option to use "Less Secure Apps" has been removed from Acct Settings in your personal Gmail account.&amp;nbsp; Its still there for G-Suite customers&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;The printer uses an older technology which is not natively compatible with the new security standards used by Gmail.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Instead, you will need to create an App Password and use it on the printer for your password.&amp;nbsp; This is because the printer was made prior to the email providers requirng additional security.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;See this:&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;A href="https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Sign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <title>MF641CW scan to email</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have been trying to get my printer to scan to my email with no luck. My email is a gmail so I am not sure I am settign the remote UI up correctly.&amp;nbsp; A few discussions I have found was to set the port, but there is no entry for port allocation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i was using smtp.gmail.com . Any help would be apreciated&lt;/P&gt;</description>
