    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello bschw,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The scan utility is a&amp;nbsp;separate piece of&amp;nbsp;software and does not install with the drivers. You can download the Scan utility using the link provided&lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/black-and-white-laser/imageclass-mf242dw?subtab=downloads-drivers" target="_self"&gt; HERE&lt;/A&gt;. You can click on the option for drivers and downloads next to the picture of the printer and then you find the scan utility under the software tab.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did this answer your question?       <title>MF Scan Utility Error MF242dw</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I keep getting a software error when trying to scan.&amp;nbsp; "MF Scan Utility that is supported by the scanner you are using may not be installed on your computer.&amp;nbsp; Install the appropriate MF Scan Utility, and the perform the operation again."&amp;nbsp; I downloaded the software (&lt;SPAN&gt;[Windows 64bit] MF242dw MFDrivers (UFR II / ScanGear))&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and re-installed three times, each time restarting the computer, and keep getting the same error message.&amp;nbsp; Using standard Windows 10 64 bit.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
