Hello,

Is this scanner able to do OCR document scanning on Mac OS X? I see the option in Windows and can successfully scan to PDF with OCR but there is no option on OS X? Am I missing something?

The OCR function is not available for the macOS system. You will need to use a third-party scanning software that supports this function.

Hi Patrice, There's an article from 2015, ART116614 (https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART116614) that shows a screenshot of OCR available in Mac. Can any additional information be shared about how/when/why OCR support was removed?
