    <description>&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="questionOnly"&gt;&lt;DIV class=""&gt;&lt;DIV class="thread-message-content-body-text thread-full-message"&gt;&lt;P class=""&gt;Hi,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Canon Imageclass MF3240 printer and a Laptop with Windows 10&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am trying to use it to print and scan.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When I connect to the laptop it does not plug and play.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue #1: In device manager no printer icons or unknown devices&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So went ahead and downloaded the windows 10 64it MF3240 drivers from the Canon website&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Installed prenter drivers using ContrlPane;l &amp;gt; devices &amp;gt; Printer &amp;gt; Add New Printer &amp;gt; Have disk &amp;gt; Download driver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can now see the printer as MF3240 series in the device Mgr&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue #2: Cannot print the test page or any page. Gives Error: Printer in Error state&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Removed the device from the Printers and individually install the&amp;nbsp; .INF files by right-clicking each file in the downloaded driver folder.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;'&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue #3: Cannot see andy print or print the test page or any page.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Removed the device and tried to install the Windows 7 64bit driver for the printer&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can now see the printer as MF3240 series in the device Mgr&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Issue #4 Cannot print the test page or any page. Gives Error: Printer in Error state&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Changed the printer cable to see if that was the issue ...No printer was not the issue&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have trying for some time and looking up forums everywhere and tried all the above with no success.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not wish to throw the printer.
