    <description>&lt;P&gt;My canon imageclass have large void/blank areas running down the length of the page I changed the toner cartridge and it went away fo about 10 copies and came back if I remove and replace toner cartridge it will go away again for about 10 copies&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Garry,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Welcome to The Canon Forums!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please try some the suggestion below to try to resolve the issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Try a different pack or type of paper.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Use a&amp;nbsp;geniune toner cartridge.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Clean the Interior of the printer:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Turn OFF the machine and disconnect all the cables from the machine.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Remove any documents from the platen glass or feeder.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Lift the scanning platform, open the toner cover, and then remove the toner cartridge.&lt;BR /&gt;4.&amp;nbsp;Remove any toner or paper debris from the interior of the machine, with a soft, dry cloth that is clean and lint-free.&lt;BR /&gt;5. Insert the toner cartridge.&lt;BR /&gt;6. Close the toner cover, and then lower the scanning platform.&lt;BR /&gt;7. Reconnect all the cables, and then turn ON the power.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;*Do not touch the fixing unit. Touching the fixing unit may cause burns as it becomes very hot during use.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Clean the Fixing Unit:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Press (Menu).&lt;BR /&gt;2. Press [▲] or [▼] to highlight &amp;lt;Adjustment/Maintenance&amp;gt;, and then press [OK].&lt;BR /&gt;3. Press [▲] or [▼] to highlight &amp;lt;Clean Fixing Unit&amp;gt;, and then press [OK].&lt;BR /&gt;4. Load Letter size plain paper in the multi-purpose tray, and then press [OK].&lt;BR /&gt;• The cleaning process begins. Cleaning takes approximately 90 seconds.&lt;BR /&gt;5. When the cleaning is complete, press [ ] (Menu) to close the screen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Clean the Feeder:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Turn OFF the machine and disconnect all the cables from the machine.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Remove any documents from the feeder.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Open the feeder cover, clean the rollers with a well wrung-out cloth dampened with water, and then wipe them with a soft and dry cloth.&lt;BR /&gt;*When cleaning the machine, do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or similar materials for cleaning. They can generate static electricity.&lt;BR /&gt;4. Close the feeder cover.&lt;BR /&gt;5. Reconnect all the cables, and then turn ON the power.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Reset Toner Cartridges:&lt;BR /&gt;1. Lift the scanning platform, open the toner cover, and then remove the toner cartridge.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Gently shake the toner cartridge 5-6 times to evenly distribute the toner.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Insert the toner cartridge.&lt;BR /&gt;4. Close the toner cover, and then lower the scanning platform.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the issue continues, the printer will require service.
