I just got an MF642cdw color laserjet last month. When I use the scanning function, it automatically saves in a JPEG format on my computer, it saves a different file per page. I already downloaded the Scan Utility file from Canon. I haven't been able to figure out where I can tell my printer that I want to save in PDF format so I can save multiple pages in one file.

Can anyone tell me the error of my ways? So far, I don't see where I have a choice in file format.

Thanks so much for any help I can get.

Stephen,

Thanks fo much for responding. I was finally able to reach Customer Support at Canon. Apparently, when I set up my printer, something did not load correctly. Although it was printing documents correctly, there was the Scanning issue. I downloaded the Scan Utility, but it didn't seem to make any difference. Tech Support removed the printer from my Windows 10 computer, then re-loaded it. That did the trick. I now have the Scan Utility on my desktop and can determine how I want to save my files (i.e., PDF, JPEG, etc.). My problem has been resolved.

Thanks again for responding.

Michael Navarro
