    <description>&lt;P&gt;I bought a brand new MF726 CDW in 2016. But I did not open until a year later. The COPY or SCAN function outputs a blank page while the print function is O.K. I notice that the scanning light in Platen Glass never lid up even though the motor and bell are still moving the whole scanning assembly at Platen Glass. I google and it was suggested to update new firmware for other MF model. I tried to update new firmware on my MF726 and it did not help. Since then I only use PRINT function. I am wondering what might have gone wrong with the brand new MF 726? Thanks and regards.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Rick. Canon support at that time said it's over a year so they won't come over to have it fixed. Do you think the scanning light bulb was broken?       <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Henryhoangly,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please try some of the suggestions to resolve the issue:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Please ensure all packing material has been removed inside the printer.&amp;nbsp; Check the platen glass area and automatic document feeder (ADF) area.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; The paper should be face down on the platen glass and the face up in the ADF.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; The printer should be connected directly to the wall outlet.
