    <description>&lt;P&gt;I installed the driver and attempted to scan as described.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The printer says :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Remote Scanner&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Waiting ...&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;(Online)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Below is the message frpm MF Tool Box&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="p1"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Cannot communicate with any of the scanners.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="p1"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;The scanners may not be connected, or may be turned off.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="p1"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="p1"&gt;Thank you for your help. I apprreciate it very much.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The machine prints all day long , but it does not connect for scanning. I get the "Connect computer" message in the machines window, It is connected by a WLAN to a Mac.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for any thoughts!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did scanning work previously?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have you recently upgraded?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What version of MAC OS and what drivers did you install?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are scanner specific drivers for Catalina and previous OS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/black-and-white-laser/MF4770N/?tab=drivers_downloads" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/black-and-white-laser/MF4770N/?tab=drivers_downloads&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the reply. Jill never got scanning to work and has had the printer for 6 or 7 years. Mac OS is 10.15.7&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Please click &lt;A href="https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/black-and-white-laser/mf4770n/imageclass-mf4770n" target="_self"&gt;HERE&lt;/A&gt; for the MF4770n Drivers &amp;amp; Download page. Please select MAC 10.15 from the Operating System. Click on Software tab and download and install the file:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scanner Driver &amp;amp; Utilities for Macintosh V2.15.3 [Mac OS : 10.10/10.11/10.12/10.13/10.14/10.15]&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once installed try scanning with MF Toolbox:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1.&amp;nbsp; Place document on printer.&lt;BR /&gt;2.&amp;nbsp; Press Scan.&lt;BR /&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; Press arrow to Remote Scanner.&lt;BR /&gt;4.&amp;nbsp; Open MF Toolbox.&lt;BR /&gt;You should see Mail / OCR /Save / PDF and Color Scan /B&amp;amp;W Scan / Custom 1 / Custom 2 in a box and Settings. Select options.&lt;BR /&gt;*You can select Settings to ensure the MF4770n driver with MAC address is selected in Scanner box..&lt;BR /&gt;Specify the scanner setting as needed&lt;BR /&gt;5.&amp;nbsp; Click APPLY.&lt;BR /&gt;6.&amp;nbsp; Click START.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please provide any error message that appears.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you continue to have difficulties, please contact our support group using the following link:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="http://Canon.us/ContactLI" target="_blank"&gt;http://Canon.us/ContactLI&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did this answer your question?
