ImageClass MFC743Cdw ... network scanning?

Asking for a friend who just bought one...

He has a mac and just purchased and setup this printer tonight.

Printing works fine.

If he uses Apple's "Preview" app, he can "Import from Canon MFC..." and it will let him use the scanner via WiFi

But there is also this Canon MF Scanner utility and if he uses that... it *only* seems to want to let him use the scanner via physical USB cable connection -- no WiFi (even though the Apple "Preview" utility *will* let him use the scanner via WiFi).

Is this a limitation of the Canon MF Scanner utility ... or did we miss something when configuring this?

Hi TCampbell.

In order to scan over the network with the MF743Cdw, you'll need to install the NW Device Setup Utility. It's available, free of charge, on the Software tab of the MF743Cdw Drivers & Downloads page.
