    <description>&lt;P&gt;I just installed a NEW Canon cartridge since the unit was out of toner.&amp;nbsp; I was printing and scanning before installing the new cartridge.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now, I can no longer scan or print.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have even removed and re-installed the needed downloads. I am using Windows 10.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Help me get this fixed as I have important papers I need to scan.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi WAFam20.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the D420 is not printing after installing a fresh replacement Canon toner cartridge, try cleaning the Fixing assembly:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;[Menu] &amp;gt;&amp;gt; &amp;lt;ADJUST./CLEANING&amp;gt; &amp;gt;&amp;gt; (Load a sheet of paper in the Multipurpose tray) &amp;gt;&amp;gt; &amp;lt;FIX. UNIT CLEANING&amp;gt; &amp;gt;&amp;gt; [OK]&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since the toner was recently replaced, I also advise pulling the toner cartridge out, and making sure that the protective plastic strip has been removed properly.&amp;nbsp; There will be a tab or ring on the side of the toner cartridge you will need to pull to remove the plastic that blocks toner flow.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did this answer your question?
