topic Smudges on paper output from Canon MF267dw in Office Printers

I have a Canon MF267dw laser printer I purchased in February 2020. Now when I print on a standard 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper I get gray smudges all along the right side of the sheet. What should I do to correct this problem? Keep in mind, I don't use the printer very often, so there should be plenty of ink in this relatively new printer. My previous Canon printer never did this, and I had it for years without having to change the printer cartridge.

Hi emprof.

If the print outs are smudged or otherwise I recommend the steps provided in our Troubleshooting for print results. The problem may be resolved by the steps in one of those sections, and it will guide you through the appropriate Special Processing settings, as necessary.

If this answered your question, please click the Accept as Solution button, so others might find the answer.
