ImageFormula d2050c scanner

I am trying to install the driver for the Canon IMAGEFORMULA DR2050C scanner into a virtual machine running windows7 pro. Ran setup.exe for the driver and it appeared to run but still could not see the scanner listed in devices. The same driver was installed OK into a regular computer also running windows 7 pro. The virtual machine was created using Oracle Virtual Box on a computer running WIN 8.1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jwf0522.

Canon can only support the imageFORMULA DR-2050 scanner on a "native" installation of the Windows 7 operating system. Because of the type of environment, we cannot guarantee communication through programs like Oracle Virtual Box.

However, one suggestion that I can make is to be sure that USB communication is enabled. Please refer to the manual for your Virtual Box software to find instructions on how to do this.
