    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a Maxify MB2750, I can't scan and send directly by mail, allways error 3418&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;a specific gmail address for the printer&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;smtp.gmail.com&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;ssl port 465&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;smtp auth with email address and password&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;when I do the connection test is suceed&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can you help me ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks a lot&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;best reards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Al&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Greetings,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can't tell fron your post what the issue is.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The 3418 error indicates failure to communicate with the mailserver.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then below you say, "when I do the connection test is suceed" which is contradictory,&amp;nbsp;or not clear, sorry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Try port 587 (TLS)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Rick,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;under the line 'set mail server' into the config I have an option 'test connection to mail server' and this test is ok.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried wuith the port 457, same result test ok but code 3418 on the printer, must I restart the printer after a change to the config ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Al&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Canon Scan-to-email Error 3418 with Gmail&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The problem really is that Gmail requires authentication.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So after creating a Gmail account and email address for your printer, open the printer UI and fill in as per the manual.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Outgoing Mail server = smtp.gmail.com&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Port Number = 465&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SSL = Yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;SMTP Authentication = Yes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Press OK&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Go back to your Gmail&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In 'Manage your Google Account - Security',&amp;nbsp; Setup 2 step Verification&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Now set up an App Password for you printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Generate the password and copy, then paste it into the Printer UI Outgoing password.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OK&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Test Connection to email server&lt;/P&gt;</description>
