Print templates - is there a maximum number?

Hi Forum

Using a Canon MF645C.

I would like to have about 8 files (pdfs) which i can print directly from the printer using the 'Print Templates' application.

I can only upload 5 templates altough the printer reports plenty of free space.

Is there a limit on the number of files or can i get around this? If there is a limit please can this get listed for a change at the next firmware update. cant see any reason to limit the number of files if there is memory available in the device...

As I suspected, only a certain amount of memory is available for each application. Keep in mind that memory has to be allocated (shared) between all applications (whether you are using them or not).

The maximum total size of files that can be registered is 48 MB.

If you reduce the size of your templates, you can save more of them.

OK thanks i'll see what i can do, maybe shrink down the pdfs...

OK... so now officially strange.

I looked at the files, actually it can be seen from the screenshot.

The total storage of these five files is 884 KILObytes...

I would say well within the 48 MB limit !

so what's the deal here?

I have the same problem there apears to be a 5 button limit in templates and in the "Scan to Preset Destination"

Very disapointing.

thanks for that info. i think we must have a firmware bug.
