topic SELPHY CP1300 - printing inconsistency, right side in Mobile & Compact Printers

I have a Canon Selphy CP1300, Purchased April 2022.

Unfortunately I dropped the ball and delayed this conversation for too long for me to claim my warranty or get a replacement product. Wedding stress + overwhelmed = Major Fail

So immediately upon receiving and starting to use this item (April 2022) I had just this one issue. I watched videos on set up etc so that was a breeze. The issue is that my print quality is inconsistent on every photo, whether I'm printing a solitary photo or a collage. Half of the print comes out beautifully and the other half comes out fuzzy and looks like it missed one of the color cycles. I was overwhelmed and assumed user error and not product malfunction so I packed it away. I am now revitalized and motivated to get this working and finding that I am indeed doing everything correctly and yet the prints come out the same as before.

Again let me say that this was from the very beginning. I have double checked that I am indeed using the products (ink cartridge and paper) meant for this very device, they are from canon and not an off brand.
I've peeked inside after removing the ink cartridge and I don't see any obvious issues like out of place rollers or dust & dirt.
When I watch it print I feel like all goes well until that final run through and thats when I really notice the disparity

The side thats not printing correctly is the right side, the side of the printer with the word SELPHY.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Emrth,

Have you tried using a different ink/paper set? The ink cassette may be the cause. Otherwise, your SELPHY CP1300 would require service. To obtain service, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on Service & Support on the left side of your My Canon account.

On the next page, click on the red Get Service & Support button to the right of your SELPHY CP1300.

Then on the page that appears, scroll down and click on the Start Repair button.
