CP1500 discoloration on pictures

Hi,

I just bought a CP1500 printer and after one or two pictures some strange discoloration appeared on the prints. Sometimes it’s just a small dot sometimes lines. Is there any idea how to fix this issue? In this state the printer is unusable!

Hi Tecsa,

Please try new paper and ink cassettes in your SELPHY CP1500. If the discolorations occur with the new ink and paper, it would appear that your SELPHY CP1500 would require service.

To obtain service, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on Service & Support on the left side of your My Canon account.

On the next page, click on the red Get Service & Support button to the right of your SELPHY CP1500.

Then on the page that appears, scroll down and click on the Start Repair button.

Follow the prompts to complete the repair request.
