Hi hailee1,

The 1660 error, as you mentioned, means ink tank not installed:

https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ErrorCode/iP110%20series/EN/ERR/1660.html?ref=1660

The iP110 requires both a black ink tank and color ink tank be installed. To clear this error, please insert a color ink tank into your printer.

Hello, I've had a Canon PIXMA iP110 print for a little while now, but I had to stop using it for a period of time because I keep getting an error every single time I try to print anything. I get the error 1660 which means "the ink tank is not installed." However, I have just replaced the black ink with a brand new canon branded PIXMA ink cartridge so I don't believe it is an error with the type of ink cartridge I bought. At the moment I only have the blank cartridge in, not the color, but I don't think that is the issue either, because it has worked in the past without the color cartridge in. So when I put the black cartridge in, the cartridge light still lights up red, which I would assume means that the printer is aknowleding its presence, however the error lamp lights up when I close the cover, and when I try to print something from the canon app on my phone I get the error 1660 message. If anyone could help me at all I would appreciate it.
