Cameras needed for a Middle School Club

Hi all, I am a Spanish teacher at our local school. I also want to start a DSLR Photography club for our 6-8th grade students this year. We are a low income school with minimal extra spending funds. Any thoughts or ideas on how to get a club started like this for kids without all the necessary equipment? Or is there a grant or donation group somewhere to apply for used DSLR cameras for students?

There might be some to help here. Contact Canon for advice on equipment for schools. May have a discount.
